Description
Get Creative for the Garden by making your own decorative ceramic cane toppers and plant markers Spend a morning or afternoon getting creative with clay to produce a selection of decorative cane toppers and plant markers for the garden. You will be shown how to make the base model and you can then develop it to create your own imaginative designs. You will learn how to model and join clay as well as rolling and cutting out. Use flowers, seeds, insects and more as sources for inspiration. Emma will provide lots of images and resources to aid your imagination. All pieces made will be colour washed with a natural coloured underglaze to highlight any imprints and then fired. You will have the option of a glazed or natural finish. If you would prefer, you can opt to decorate your pieces with a range of colours at a later date (additional charges will apply) Please just let us know before you leave your session. Age/Suitability: Adult & Age 12+ Beginners & Advanced Please ask for advice if you have a younger creative person that is keen to take part.

FAQs
Most workshops are fully inclusive of materials but please do check the listing information to make sure.
We always recommend bringing an apron or old shirt if you are doing a potentially messy activity. We do have disposable ones available if you forget.
Hot drinks are available but you are welcome to bring your own if you desire.
If you have a booked a full day workshop, lunch will usually be included. Please let us know of any dietary requirements you may have, or if you would prefer to bring your own lunch along.
We can also book tables at the Barn Café on site, on your behalf, so please ask if you would like a table before or after your workshop.

We are situated 1 mile off the A12 from the Dobbies Garden Centre roundabout.
There is parking on site.
Please go the rear of the complex and use the parking area beyond the café and antiques centre if possible.
If you required a disabled parking place, please let us know ahead of your workshop and we can arrange for a space closer the entrance.
