Beginner Linocut Class in Rowde Devizes Wiltshire

Join me on the second Friday of the month for a beginner-friendly linocut workshop! 17th October - Linocut: Autumn Harvest and Spooky Season 14th November - Linocut: Nature in Winter 12th December - Linocut: Merry Festive Prints 16th January - Linocut: Sculptural Seed Heads 13th February - Linocut: Winter Birds 13th March - Linocut: Springtime Flora During this 3-hour workshop, you’ll grasp the basics of linocutting in a relaxed, calm environment surrounded by trees and greenery at The Mind Tree Cafe in Rowde, near Devizes. You’ll learn about the tools used, mark-making and how to print by hand and on the press. This workshop is accessible and suitable for all abilities and skills - recommended for ages 16 years and above. You don’t need to bring anything except: An apron/old clothes (it can get a little inky!) Any sketches or photos you’d like to use for inspiration (these must be your own and not copies)

What's included in the price?

All printmaking materials and tools will be provided. Refreshments: If your workshop is on a Friday, please bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits are always provided. There will be time for a short break during the session. *Please note - the Café is only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays* Free Parking: available nearby, and the venue is fully accessible. If you have any specific needs, just let me know.
