Polymer clay is a versatile modelling medium which can be used to make stunning jewellery. On this beginner’s course you will learn how to select or make your own clay colours; how to condition the 'raw' material; how to mould and shape your designs and how to build a clay cane - the millefiori process. You'll also learn how to apply your cane and how to 'finish' your beads to achieve a professional look. Towards the end of the day, we will string your favourites so you will go home with a completed necklace and earring set.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

A fantastic way to spend a Spring day - having expert tuition but in a relaxed environment and then coming away with unique items made by your own hands. I've been wearing my millefiori necklace ever since and everyone wants to know how it was made! Well, you'll just have to ask Jo to teach you...
Thank you Janet - I'm so glad you had a good day, and hope you enjoy wearing your necklace.
I did the one day millefiori bead making workshop with Jo. I was the only student and feel very privileged to have had such expert tuition all to myself for a day. I was a complete novice but left with some beautiful beads, jewellery and plenty of ideas and ambition for my next projects.
Eager to sign up for the next course!
Thank you for your review Marion - I'm glad you left with lots of inspiration! I love teaching and hopefully, enthusing people 'to make' and I'm so lucky not to be governed by class sizes - when a class gets a booking, even if it is just the one, it runs!
I have just spent the most enjoyable day learning how to work with polymer clay. I am now the proud owner of a rather lovely (if I do say myself) handmade bead necklace, pendant and earrings. Jo is a fantastic teacher, amazingly patient and reassuring. Her studio is bright, airy and full of inspiration and I can't wait to go back and try another of her courses.
