Description

Make your own Silver Sea Glass Necklace with Wye Creative. This workshop is perfect for those who want to turn their beach treasures into something beautiful and wearable. Join me to make your own unique Beach Glass Necklace in this 4.5 hour workshop based in a new studio space at Harts Barn Craft Centre. During the workshop you will have the chance to design and make your necklace unique to you. You will be guided step by step through each stage to make it as personal as you want. You are welcome to bring your own sea glass or your own stones that you have collected, or you can choose from a range of sea glass that I have available. You can also use pebbles, pottery or shells. Please send me a picture of your sea glass or found item so I can confirm that it will work for the workshop. We will use a range of traditional silversmithing techniques and tools, from cutting to soldering, setting, sanding and polishing to create a unique pendant that you can cherish forever. This class is suitable for complete beginners and those with jewellery making knowledge. Aprons will be supplied to protect your clothes as well as safety glasses when needed. Please bring glasses if you need them for reading or close up work. If you have long hair please bring a hairband to tie your hair up. My dog Bramble may be with us during the workshop. If you have any worries or concerns around dogs, please let me know as I am happy to arrange for her to be looked after by someone else during the workshop. If you are looking for a certain type of workshop, or would like to book all 6 spaces then please message me. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi, it's Sarah from Wye Creative in the Forest of Dean. As a jeweller who studied contemporary jewellery design at Hereford College of Arts, I am passionate about creating my own unique pieces. However, my true joy comes from sharing my knowledge with other creative individuals and empowering them to explore their own artistic talents. At Wye Creative, I strive to inspire and teach others the art of jewellery making and other craft skills.
