Art classes: for beginners and intermediates

This class runs termly on a Thursday 11.00 - 1.00 pm. It is aimed at beginners and intermediates who would like to gain confidence to create their own artwork and those who want to gain new skills. Beginners will have an introduction to a range of different materials, disciplines and styles in art history. Intermediates will be encouraged to develop their skills and explore project based work. Materials and methods offered include drawing, painting, printing, collage, mixed media and plaster casting, as well as clay modelling and construction in clay slab and coil method. Your teacher is Sue Wagstaff, who is a practising artist and qualified art teacher. She is keen to encourage personal development and the individuality of her students. The classes are kept to a maximum of six. This provides a relaxed learning environment and allows time for those needing more individual support. It also allows people of different abilities and interests to work on different projects if they wish. Classes are friendly and relaxed and there is always a tea break. Price: £170 for a 10 week term. The next term will begin in January W/B 13/01/22.
