This two-day welding course will introduce you to the three of the main welding processes MIG Welding, MMA (Arc) Welding and TIG Welding. You will learn the basic skills needed to weld with each one and apply the skills to weld together metal joinery. Your discover the difference between each process, the set-up costs and skill levels required. The fabrication skills learnt will be perfect for any DIY enthusiast, aspiring welder. Day one: of this welding course will introduce you to the three main welding processes and you will learn the basic skills needed to weld metal with each process. The day will focus on skills practise and look at basic metal joinery techniques that are used when making furniture from metal. Day two: will involve learning about the skills needed to make your own metal chair. You will learn about the use of handtools for marking out, workshop machinery for cutting metal to size and the power tools needed for preparing metal ready for welding. Using technical drawings and tutor guidance you will create the your own chair and weld it all together. Using angle grinders you will tidy up the joinery and finish the chair. By the end of this two-day course you will be familiar with different welding processes and fabrication techniques required to build metal furniture, start on classic car builds/repairs or just know which welder is right for you. Completing this course you can take advantage of our book a bench hire scheme. All materials and equipment required are included in the price. Level: No experience needed.
