'Kit day' is about a day to yourself for sewing! Time and space to immerse yourself in your DOLLY kit sewing project with Diana on hand to guide the way and others seamsters to share the day with. Choose from the APRON DRESS, CHORE JACKET, RAGLAN DRESS, JEANS, 1 METRE DRESS OR UTILITY SKIRT! Spend the day perfecting the simple 'utility skirt kit' or tackling a tricky 'jeans kit' project - the choice is yours! The emphasis is on process over completion - there’s no need to finish it on the day because you can follow the free video tutorial and take your time at home with those finishing touches. You'll also have the opportunity to customise your kit with your very own style and flare. About the day itself! You’ll choose your kit project before the workshop and discuss the options with us. At the beginning of the workshop day, you’ll have a sewing machine induction followed by coffee or tea and pastries, then we’ll crack on with your make. Lunch from Caccia and Tails in Lewes is at 12.30 and we'll spend the rest of the day sewing. Why not enjoy perusing our library of sewing books or browsing through the ‘Forever Clothes Swap’ rail while you're here! Choose your kit project before the workshop and discuss the options with us. We have Bernina and Frister Rossman sewing machines and shared use of two overlockers.
What's included in the price?
* You'll will receive 15% off any other kit you'd like to buy on the day. We have everything you need so there's no need to bring your own sewing equipment - unless you’d like to, of course! There’s plenty of space to sew and the studio is full of natural light.
