"I took my friend Rosie to Maddie's for a mosaic making workshop as a 30th birthday present. It was absolutely all we could have wished for. Maddie was so knowledgeable and helpful, we were surrounded by her beautiful pieces and were in great company. Maddie was lovely to talk to and also very patient and kind which was a great help. Rosie and I had a lot of fun and created pieces that we are very proud of. It's was an afternoon to treasure for both of us and I cannot thank Maddie enough for the experience."

"We had the most wonderful day with Maddie. I brought my son (11) and friend (14) and the 3 of us loved every moment. Maddie was incredibly patient and helpful, and showed us lots of new skills, allowing us to experiment with different techniques and mediums, all in the loveliest of surroundings in the workshop. We all ended the day with individual pieces of work that we were all incredibly proud of. We very much hope to make a return visit to Maddie very soon to continue learning about the wonderful world of mosaics."

"I set out this morning feeling excited at the prospect of spending the day with Maddie, learning the basics of mosaics. What a day it turned out to be. Learning new techniques, and ending the day with a piece I am really proud of. The studio is well set up and not at all off putting despite the fact it is the work place of such a talented professional. Maddies approach is relaxed and friendly so following her instruction is not difficult. I am amazed that in one day I was able to walk away with a creditable piece having never done anything like it before. If you want to try something new and hugely satisfying get yourself booked onto a course you'll love it!"

"Had an absolute fantastic day yesterday making my first mosaic piece. There were 5 of us and Maddie and Penny were just brilliant in providing technical information and inspiring hints and tips. Her studio was warm and welcoming and all her artwork on the walls gave us great inspiration. The tools and massive assortment of potential mosaic materials was really well laid out, this bounty of materials helped you achieve a fantastic finished artwork. Hopefully we will return again to learn further mosaic skills. I would recommend this course to everyone..and will do so!!"

"I recently took four of my GSCE Art students to do a workshop with Maddie and Penny as part of their exam module. I had contacted Maddie previously to explain what each of the students wanted to achieve, and she was so helpful and accommodating to each of their needs. We spent a wonderful afternoon in the beautiful studio. Maddie and Penny were fantastic, explaining and demonstrating all of the techniques and were so supportive to each of the students, who all came away not only with some fantastic work to put towards their GCSE, but elated with creative ideas and keen to go back and make more! Thanks Maddie and Penny, a great afternoon had by all, we all look forward to seeing you again! Rich said: “It was really good and for my GCSE I learned loads of different ways to do mosaic.” Hannah said: “Maddie and Penny were really inspirational and motivated me to experiment with something different, thanks!” Charlotte said: “I had a really good time there and would like to go back. "I’ve dabbled with mosaicing before but learned so much more in my morning with Maddie and Penny and things that had previously seemed quite complicated were made simpler and with better results. Maddie and Penny seem to see endless possibilities in all sorts of unexpected things and I get the impression they innovate and discover constantly so I’m excited to see what new ideas they have come up with next time. I learned how to fuse pieces of glass in a microwave kiln to make gorgeous, unique tiles with exciting results and possibilities. The day was great fun and I’m looking forward to going back to learn and create more as well as to spend time with two inspiring and gifted teachers in a brilliant studio packed with heaps of exciting materials, ideas and inspiration. "What a lovely afternoon we spent with Maddie and Penny doing our mosaics! We were able to sit at a table in the garden enjoying the sunshine while working on our mosaics - two of us decorated a mirror surround and one did a cat. We really enjoyed choosing from the amazing array of coloured glass, tile pieces, buttons, shiny bits and bobs - all sorts of interesting textures and patterns - We all ended up with a completely unique piece to take home and all feel inspired to do more. Maddie and Penny were so welcoming and helpful - thank you."

"I attended a two hour 'creative' session with my 8 year old son and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Maddie and her colleague were on hand for advice and help as and when we needed it, whilst we were able to work independently on our own mini projects. The studio is a really nice spacious room, well equipped, and in a lovely setting, which all adds to the positive experience. I will definitely recommend Maddie's workshops to my friends and hope to go back again to create another piece."

"A great way to spend time and come away with a personal memento of our holiday in Pembrokeshire. Maddie and Penny looked after us well. "I had the most wonderful day!! Maddie received me very warmly and is a very good instructor. There is an abundance of material to choose from, there are very helpful examples to use as inspiration and the studio itself is a very calm inspiring place. I got to take my finished work with me leaving me with a great reminder of a very rewarding day! I would definitely recommend this workshop, I drove up from London and it was more than worth it!!
