Woodturning with Green (unseasoned) Wood in Bude, North Cornwall - Taster session (1 to 2 people)

Come & learn to wood-turn using local, sustainably-sourced 'green' (unseasoned) timber at The Hide Studio, near Bude, North Cornwall! Our courses are aimed at complete beginners as well as those who have had some experience of woodturning and are looking to improve their current skills. Your tutor Rich has been a woodworker for over 30 years and will set the pace of the course and tailor the content depending on your needs. In our 'taster session', you'll cover some health & safety and a small amount of theory, before getting onto the lathes and being taught the basic techniques producing your own wooden creation to take home. We have three Union Graduate lathes in our studio and because courses are limited to a maximum of two students (only you / your party), you will have your own dedicated lathe to work on. We are situated just a couple of miles from the beautiful North Cornwall coast with access to the South West Coast Path a few minutes drive away.

What's included in the price?

All materials are included and you will take away what you have made during the session. All safety gear is provided as well as refreshments.
