Silver Spinner Ring Make your own spinner ring in sterling silver at WMM Silver’s dedicated studio at Taurus Crafts in Lydney, Forest of Dean. Add one or two spinning rings to the main shank choosing from a selection of designs. You can use bobble, hammered or smooth wire or create a faceted look on any or all of your spinner rings – be as imaginative as you like! Learn artisan silversmithing techniques and a little of the history of silver and hallmarking. Enjoy homemade shortbread and refreshments whilst you work – as the workshop ends around 3.30pm so you may like to bring a sandwich or buy one from the onsite cafe. At the end of the workshop you’ll not only have some lovely personalised jewellery to take away, but also a huge sense of well being, pride and achievement. Hello. I am Wendy from WMM Silver. As a jeweller of long standing, and also a B.Ed qualified OFSTED outstanding rated tutor, I have been teaching in the South West for the past 20 years. I love seeing what results can be achieved by beginner students within a few hours with the right stage-by-stage instruction. My aim is to provide a safe and fun forum for you to learn and enjoy and take home a special piece of jewellery to remember your day. All this is done in my dedicated studio at the Taurus Crafts visitor centre in Lydney where you can also browse the lovely shops and eat in the onsite cafe during your break. I also teach in outreach venues when requested and in private homes for special occasions.
