Description

Slow Stitching is a mindful needlework process that focuses not on the final result but the intention and the joy brought from creating the piece itself. Using a piece of fabric, needle and thread and using simple stitches and notions, go with the flow of your fabric, your mind and your thought process and see where it takes you. There is no set pattern to follow just intuitively let the creative process flow. Embracing the idea of slowing down and recognising the practical beauty of reclaiming, reusing, and repurposing as we give a nod to earlier times when reusing and recycling were both necessary and admirable In this workshop we will: explore different fabrics, try out different stitches, become engrossed in the process, not worry about the finished product No previous sewing experience is necessary. Your tutor for this workshop is Lesley from Welsh Willow Baskets
