If you’re looking to learn the art of mosaic making, come join Adela at her studio for a hands-on workshop that will teach you everything you need to know! Adela will guide you through the process of cutting and laying tiles in the classic opus patterns, and will introduce you to the various methods and materials used to make mosaics. There will also be printed resources to take home. During the 6 hour workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to design and create your own unique mosaic, up to 20cm in size. You’ll learn how to plan and lay out your design, as well as how to select and cut the tiles to fit your vision. And with the expert guidance you’ll be able to create a beautiful mosaic that you can be proud of. Not only will you leave with a finished piece of art, but you’ll also have the satisfaction of knowing that you’ve learned a new skill and have the tools to continue to create your own mosaics. To keep you going throughout the workshop tea and coffee will be provided, so you can stay focused on your craft. This mosaic workshop is suitable for all skill levels, and it costs £80 to register. So, don’t wait any longer, sign up now and unleash your creative side! Please wear suitable clothing and closed toe shoes. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided but please bring snacks or a light lunch if you wish. You may not be able to grout your mosaic on the day due to the adhesive needing to dry. However you will be given a grouting demonstration and grout to take home.

What's included in the price?

All mosaic tools and materials are included to make up to 2 mosaics. I will provide plenty of tea, coffee & biscuits throughout the day. Please bring your own lunch. If you choose to leave your mosaic to be grouted, the postage of your mosaic piece is charged at £5.00.
