About the pebble mosaic course: Maximum number of 4 people per course at Olicana's workshop in central Ilkley. Minimum numbers apply. Learn how to create a stunning pebble mosaic that will provide a talking point for your garden from David James of Olicana Mosaics. You will be taken through all the steps involved in creating a square or circular or shell shaped pebble mosaic measuring 45cm/18inch square or in diameter. This will weigh about 20kg (45 lb). Time will be given to discuss materials, methods, tools and techniques as dictated by the interests of the group and time available. The pebble mosaic will then be cast in a special cement and can be collected or sent by courier at a later date once it has cured. The courier costs are at the prevailing standard rates. David has a wealth of knowledge on the history, techniques and practical applications of mosaics from Byzantine to modern day innovations, which he is happy to share. He is very approachable and will give you all the help you need to make your mosaic. His work has been featured in award winning gardens and he has won several Gold awards for his work, including creating a show garden. What's included in the price?

Tools, materials are included in the cost. PPE will be provided but please wear sturdy shoes/boots and old clothes. Hot and cold drinks will be provided, just bring your lunch.
