We are the candle making experience company. Our workshops are held in our purpose built studio in Marlow. Come along to one of our workshops to understand more about the different types of candles that are sold in the UK, then learn the skills to make your own using natural soy and beeswax! This workshop will show you how to make beautiful container, floating and rolled candles. Choose from a variety of fragrances and dyes to personalise your very own candle range. Workshop run by a “Chandler” (a professional candle-maker), this course will cover: -Introduction to candlemaking through the ages -Overview of the different types of wax, wicks, dyes, fragrances and candles -Demonstration of 4 different candlemaking techniques -Using individual melters, melt two types of wax, add dyes, fragrance oils and wicks to make four types of candle. -Finish your candles off with beautiful packaging and decorations. -Participants take home their own candle creations and a user guide to enable them to recreate other candles at home. -CLP legislation We run 2 different Christmas candle making workshop Christmas One - 2nd & 30th November You will make > Layered toned Pillar > Wax melts > Fragranced rose gold tin > Christmas Pudding pillar candle Christmas Two - 16th Nov & 14th Dec You will make: > Fragranced container candle with dried flowers > Fragranced Brittle melts > Fir Cone Wax tree decorations > Snowball pillar ********************************************************************* We offer you lots of options, so you can experience any or all of our workshops and never make the same candle twice! What's included in the price?
The price includes all the equipment and materials plus coffee/tea/soft drinks. After the workshop we will also email to you our candle-making guide. For Christmas and Easter we theme the candles you will make.

Candle by Events is The Candle-making Experience Company based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Founded in 2008 by Sarah Ditchfield, the business started off producing candles for shops, hotels and restaurants. In 2012 we built our candle-making studio and began running open workshops for beginners plus themed candle-making events around Easter, Christmas and other celebrations. We also run parties, family fun days, hen parties and corporate team building events - all around candle-making. Besides hands-on candle-making we coach and support candle-making entrepreneurs helping them set up their own successful businesses. In addition to our in-person workshops we run virtual workshops - our beginner's online workshop provides all the equipment and materials you need (shipped FREE to your door) together with a live online workshop and videos, etc. taking you step-by-step through all the techniques to learn and make lots of fabulous candles at home. This includes access to the Masterclass group, regular live online webinars and other online offerings, where you learn new techniques and where we help them solve any candle-making challenges. Our founder has written two candle-making books published by Dorling Kindersley and Search Press, which can be purchased in book shops and online.
