Description
Join Lindsay Forbes of Laconic in this wirework rings workshop. Suitable for beginners and those who may have some wirework/beading experience looking to refresh and learn something new. In this workshop you'll learn how to measure your finger for rings. You'll then learn how to create a few different styles of ring using some wire wrapping techniques. Expect to be shown around 3-4 in this workshop! You can add beads to this using a few different techniques to add a pop of colour to your rings. This course is designed to share a variety of techniques which you can interpret into your own designs, the project completed is mostly up to you, to get creative using the techniques learned. Lindsay will provide examples to give you inspiration! You can expect to make at least one piece of jewellery, but you may find yourself creating 2 or 3, (maybe more!). You can upgrade on the day and create pieces using Sterling Silver wire too! Prices from £5.
What's included in the price?
Use of required equipment/tools. All materials to make at least x1 piece of jewellery. Optional: you're welcome to bring your own set of pliers or any beads from your collection that you'd like to incorporate into designs. On hand experienced tutor to instruct and guide you through the course. Refreshments.

Lindsay Forbes has worked in the jewellery industry since graduating in 3D Design in 2010. Working in a variety of areas from retail to repair, she has a great amount of knowledge in jewellery design and technical skills in goldsmithing. Following her passion for designing and making jewellery she founded her own business; Laconic. Passing on knowledge and skills is something that Lindsay enjoys doing and creating a fun, friendly environment where people can come to relax, be creative and learn and so 'Bench Box' was created!
