Description
Suitable for beginners THREE PLACE REMAINING Learn how to carve a wax ring and then delft cast it in silver. After covering basic health and safety in the studio, you will be given a wax ring blank to carve, melt and texture to your required size using various tools. We will then cast it using a delft clay casting method which involves pressing the wax ring into an aluminium mould filled with a special sand with glycerine that holds its shape when compressed. Silver will be melted in a crucible and poured into the mould creating a silver ring from your wax. The ring will then need to be finished and polished. The workshop runs from 10am to 5pm. It takes place in my garden studio where I have a maximum of 4 places available per workshop. I like to fill all places wherever possible. The price is per person.
