Description
Dates: 10am-4pm, Saturday and Sunday, 21-22 March, 2026 In this weekend workshop, Emma Lindsay will guide you to create a beautiful stained glass panel from start to finish. Over the course of the weekend, you’ll be guided through traditional stained glass techniques that have been used for centuries. You’ll learn how to cut glass, shape and assemble lead, solder your design, and finish your panel with glazing. Participants will be able to choose from a selection of designs and tailor the project to their experience level. You may opt to create a simple cut and leaded panel incorporating some traditional glass painting, or take on a slightly more complex cut and leaded design over the two days. The workshop is suitable for all levels, with all tuition, materials, and tools included. About your tutor: Since graduating in 2007 with a degree in Architectural Glass Design, Scottish glass artist Emma Lindsay has continued to pursue her passion for this magical medium. She has worked in studios around the UK and Ireland learning the specialised techniques of stained glass restoration and repair and has studied contemporary practice with leading international stained glass artists. In 2012, Emma set up her own stained glass business, Emma Lindsay Glass studio, which is based in Glasgow. She has worked on many projects and commissions all over the UK and beyond.
