Description
This is a great chance to have a go at making mosaic for the first time or alternatively improve upon existing skills. I’ll provide you with a template and guide you through each step of the process throughout the day in a relaxed and friendly environment. A range of colourful tiles will be available so that you can personalise your own mosaic. Please bring your own lunch. Tea, coffee, biscuits available all day.

Maker
I’m a professional mosaic artist living in Wells, Somerset. Much of my work is commissioned based, privately or through public art, I have undertaken a variety of projects, from domestic to historical. My work is often influenced by my interest in Medieval architecture and imagery, as is evident in my current large scale public art project, Wells in Mosaic. Also woven throughout my work you will see a love of music and the natural world. I’ve always been creative and now have 20 years of mosaicking experience. I work with a broad range of materials and techniques to produce exquisitely detailed pieces, although I’m always open to trying something different. I enjoy teaching and passing on my knowledge to like-minded creatives. I get huge pleasure from seeing the progress in someone’s personal project. I am a professional member of the British Association of Modern Mosaics (BAMM), The Somerset Craft Guild and The Heritage Crafts Association.
