Silver and Gold Ring Come and make your own sterling silver and 9ct gold ring at this informative and friendly class in Wendy’s dedicated workshop studio at Taurus Crafts in Lydney, Forest of Dean. During the workshop, you will be taught all the skills you need to size, cut, file, texture, solder and polish your silver ring shank. You will then melt down gold to make the bobble to solder on. You can use your own forgotten gold earring that lost its partner, or ours. Then take it home and show it off to friends and family! Always enjoyed, with very proud and satisfied customers – this is suitable for beginners. The workshop price includes all materials, refreshments and homemade shortbread. Hello. I am Wendy from WMM Silver. As a jeweller of long standing, and also a B.Ed qualified OFSTED outstanding rated tutor, I have been teaching in the South West for the past 20 years. I love seeing what results can be achieved by beginner students within a few hours with the right stage-by-stage instruction. My aim is to provide a safe and fun forum for you to learn and enjoy and take home a special piece of jewellery to remember your day. All this is done in my dedicated studio at the Taurus Crafts visitor centre in Lydney where you can also browse the lovely shops and eat in the onsite cafe during your break. I also teach in outreach venues when requested and in private homes for special occasions.
