Description
With expert tuition from Wooden Tom, you will be guided to safely use hand tools such as a knife and axe to create your own spoon. This is a great course to learn many of the grounding skills in one day which are transferable on to other carving projects. Skills learned: - Using an axe to accurately cleave wood. - Correct use of the carving axe to rough out the shape of your spoon. - Safe use and cutting techniques with the carving knife and gouge. Tools used: - Carving axe. - Saw. - Carving knife. - Bent knife. - Mallet. All courses are held in beautiful oak woodlands on the Inshriach estate, just outside of Aviemore.
