Come and enjoy a creative session, and learn the art of traditional silversmithing. Guided by expert tutor Zoe, you will get hands-on with the tools and materials and create a gorgeous stacking ring handcrafted by you. All in the relaxing setting of our craft barn with views overlooking the open countryside of Hanwell Wine Estate. What you will make: Design and make 3 rings in 1.5mm width sterling silver wire, having the choice of different wire shapes and a copper wire option. What you will learn: Introduction to the tools and materials and how to handle them Techniques including; measuring, hammering to add decorative texture, shaping and sawing Soldering to create a strong and hidden join. Adding the finishing touch of sanding and polishing What is included: – Everything is included, all tools and materials, plus refreshments. Nothing to bring, just yourself. Who is the workshop for- Perfect for beginners or people with experience. To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 6. (Please note: a minimum number of 4 bookings is required in order for the session to go ahead) Suitable for children aged 16 years and over must be accompanied by a paying adult.
