Indulge in a day of creativity and learn the basics of crafting stunning silver jewellery while creating your very own unique sterling silver spinner ring. With the guidance of our experienced instructor, you will discover the fundamental techniques required to form, texture, and finish a beautiful ring. While prior soldering experience is not required, having a basic understanding of the processes and metal-forming techniques would be advantageous. For those with limited or no experience, we will revise and practice all techniques to ensure that all abilities are catered for. During the workshop, you will design a stunning sterling silver spinner ring featuring a main wide band ring with one or more spinning satellite rings. With a range of textures and techniques to choose from, you will be able to create a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your individual style. The workshop is perfect for beginners onwards, with a minimum age requirement of 16 years and above with accompanying adult. You will learn a range of jewellery making basics including annealing, sawing, filing, soldering, shaping, forming, texturing, and polishing. We provide all the necessary equipment and materials, including sterling silver, so you don't need to bring anything except your reading glasses, if you require them. For your safety, we advise you to wear closed-toed shoes, tie long hair back, and avoid wearing loose or flappy clothing. To ensure the quality of your experience, while maintaining safety, the group size is currently limited to six people. We offer a choice of different designs and textures, along with various texture and forming tools to make your piece truly unique. With a range of silversmithing techniques on offer, this workshop is a great introduction to working with silver and a perfect way to ignite your creativity. We reserve the right to cancel the class if we do not have a minimum of three people attending. Should this happen, your payment will be fully refunded. Rachel’s formative years were spent training in multi media Arts & Crafts. Going on to complete a BA Hons in designed Jewellery. Upon completing her Degree, Rachel went on to specialise as a precious metal smith. Working within a noble metals business, as a precious metals fabricator.
