Overlap Ring for Age 10+ with adult At popular request, here is a young person's workshop during which they can experience the fun side of silversmithing - bashing, stamping letters and symbols and generally having a fun time with you too but without the more grown-up side of soldering. Children over the age of 10 to 13 years are welcome to attend with a paying adult.  Children aged 14+ and adults do not need to be accompanied.  You will learn how  to make an overlapping and adjustable ring (so it can grow with you) at this short introduction to some silversmithing skills. You will learn how to size, cut, file and form a beautiful sterling silver ring.  You can also add some letters and symbols, like a heart, star, daisy to make it truly your own.  Create a special memory with your child and both come away with a special momento.

The workshop price includes all materials and refreshments and there is plenty of free parking on site.

Hello. I am Wendy from WMM Silver. As a jeweller of long standing, and also a B.Ed qualified OFSTED outstanding rated tutor, I have been teaching in the South West for the past 20 years. I love seeing what results can be achieved by beginner students within a few hours with the right stage-by-stage instruction. My aim is to provide a safe and fun forum for you to learn and enjoy and take home a special piece of jewellery to remember your day. All this is done in my dedicated studio at the Taurus Crafts visitor centre in Lydney where you can also browse the lovely shops and eat in the onsite cafe during your break. I also teach in outreach venues when requested and in private homes for special occasions.
