Sewn and felted seascape

Needle felted seascape & free motion embroidery workshop. This is a bespoke course, where we find a suitable date together. I need 4 people for this to run. I can advertise the workshop for extra people and/or if you have a group of friends. Immerse yourself in a truly therapeutic and creative experience as you craft your own textured seascape using the gentle art of needle felting, followed by the expressive technique of free motion machine embroidery. This workshop offers a welcoming space to explore, learn, and be inspired. What You'll Learn: • How to layer and sculpt wool fibres to create depth and movement in your seascape. • Techniques for blending colours and textures using felting needles. • Introduction to free motion embroidery—drawing with thread to enhance your felted piece. • Tips for composition, stitching flow, and finishing your artwork. What You'll Create: • A beautiful, one-of-a-kind textile seascape that captures the essence of the coast—waves, skies, cliffs, or sandy shores—ready to frame or gift. Your tutor Rebecca has 20 years of Art experience, training in Fine Art, then teaching as a secondary school Art teacher. She decided to become a full time Mum in 2020. Rebecca has now decided the time is right to continue following her two passions, teaching and Art.
