Description

The reduction process is a method of relief printing in which several coloured layers are printed from the same block of lino. The first colour is printed and then the block is reduced by cutting away and the second colour is then printed on top of the first. With successive cutting and printing, the image will gradually emerge. Prepare to be amazed as each layer is revealed! We will aim to produce a small limited edition of prints with 3 or 4 colours. A step-by-step guide will be available to demonstrate the process. Reference pictures will be provided, or you may bring your own. This workshop is suitable for those with some experience of lino printing. What to bring: Ideas or pictures to use as your reference An apron A packed lunch
