If you've ever fancied making a rag rug this is the kit to get you started. With instructions, a hook rug tool and hemmed backing you're ready to use your recycled fabric to make a shaggy clippy rug. A tradtional craft to recycle fabric from clothes or bedding, or to make a one off rug with your new fabric. It's easy to learn from scratch and is a mindful craft, as you cut up your fabric and the weaving you will see you creation grow. Practical too as you have a rug ideal for a wooden or stone floor, beautifully created by hand.

The Wood Cottage Crafts is situated at the edge of the village of Brompton by Sawdon, North Yorkshire. The workshop overlooks the vale of Pickering which sets our courses in a relaxing country setting. I am passionate about crafting and love learning new techniques myself. In particular, I am a sewer with over thirty years of experience. As a qualified teacher I make sure that my courses are accessible for beginners and students developing and building on their skills.
