Description
Make a traditional Proddy Mat using recycled or new material. Design a rug, cushion or seat pad. Proddy mats are made with small pieces of material around 2" x 1/2'' and pulled through a hessian backing. It is an easy technique to learn and fun transforming redundant materials into fabulous floor coverings or a smaller item. Templates will be available Suitable materials are blankets, skirts, jumpers etc.. You will learn lots of hints and tips on the day. Suitable for anyone interested in making a proddy mat including beginners Cilla has been rug making for over 35 years teaching in the Uk and overseas
What's included in the price?
Tea Coffee and biscuits. All tools are available to borrow on the day. Hessian needs to be purchased on the day plus tools too. If you have your own tools and material do bring them along. I have a been range of hand dye wool blanket available to purchase too. Please click 'message the tutor' if you have any questions about equipment or the workshop. An information sheet will be sent to students once your place has been booked
