Description
An introduction to relief printing using lino cut blocks Join our expert tutor, Helen Maxfield for this beginners printmaking course. This is a 5 session course. Each class will be 2 hours. Autumn 2024 Thursday 26 September 2024 Thursday 10 October 2024 Thursday 24 October 2024 Thursday 7 November 2024 Thursday 21 November 2024 Each week you will work with Helen on small, set projects which will focus on the various lino cutting techniques. You will learn about positive and negative space, basic cutting and mark-making skills, and explore single block, reduction and multi block printing. A perfect way to get started in lino printing. If you have already completed this course, you can join in again, but have the freedom to create your own designs as we progress through the techniques. Suitability: Adults & Age 12+ Beginners & Advanced Book early to avoid disappointment

All materials, tools and equipment are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Please be aware that inks stain, so bring an apron! (Disposable ones are available to use)

FAQs
Most workshops are fully inclusive of materials but please do check the listing information to make sure.
We always recommend bringing an apron or old shirt if you are doing a potentially messy activity. We do have disposable ones available if you forget.
Hot drinks are available but you are welcome to bring your own if you desire.
If you have a booked a full day workshop, lunch will usually be included. Please let us know of any dietary requirements you may have, or if you would prefer to bring your own lunch along.
We can also book tables at the Barn Café on site, on your behalf, so please ask if you would like a table before or after your workshop.

We are situated 1 mile off the A12 from the Dobbies Garden Centre roundabout.
There is parking on site.
Please go the rear of the complex and use the parking area beyond the café and antiques centre if possible.
If you required a disabled parking place, please let us know ahead of your workshop and we can arrange for a space closer the entrance.
