Learn some simple printing methods using basic lino-cutting techniques to make greetings cards, gift tags, gift boxes & decorations in this structured but relaxed workshop. We will look at creating a design from your source material (the tutor will also bring a range of designs to work from), various ways of making and using a printing plate with lino & polystyrene, and printing by hand using a variety of approaches. No experience necessary.....lots of step-by-step demos & individual help. We will be using water- based inks during the workshop.....and possibly glitter! A fun, creative day suitable for complete beginners and those wanting to refresh their skills. What to bring: Drawing pencil, rubber, ruler, scissors, glue stick, desert spoon, craft knife if you have one Inspiration / source material / sketches – we will be working approx A6 size or smaller as the designs will be used for cards / decorations etc Kitchen roll, old clothes / apron, baby wipes, newspaper, Scrap paper & medium weight cartridge to print on Any other papers you may want to use e.g handmade / coloured etc If you have your own roller / brayer and lino cutting tools please bring them but don’t buy specially – the tutor will have some for you to borrow

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If, having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date.
