Description
Learn how to make a solid leather belt and never have to buy another again! You’ll be able to choose from a variety of thicknesses of leathers depending on how solid you’d like your belt to be. It can be either brown, black or left naturally un-dyed. There’s also a choice of buckles – solid cast brass or stainless steel. Both leather and buckles are made in the UK. You'll learn how to use a strap cutter, thin the leather where it attaches to the buckle, bevel and burnish edges, create holes for stitching, make a keep (the little loop of leather that stops the end of your belt flapping around), point the belt end and finally stitch it all together with robust thread using the saddle stitch technique. At the end of the day you’ll walk away with a beautiful item to keep your trousers up or hang your tool pouches from!
