Needle felting starter kit - natural. 100% wool roving. Felt supplies.

Pretty display box to store your wools

Stock up your needle-felting supplies with this starter set of 100% wool fibres. 70g of natural core wool and super soft merino top for your craft projects.

In a ready-to-gift box, this kit makes a wonderful creative present for anyone who enjoys felting. The wool has been ethically farmed and dyed to provide the most sumptuous fibres, allowing you to create really high-quality felted items. The natural, undyed English top and Herdwick grey wools are brilliant for creating life-like creatures. Merino wool is perfect for making smaller objects like mini decorations. Or, use it as a top coat over coarse core wool to add detail and softness to your larger projects.

We use these colours throughout our range of needle-felting kits and so this makes a great add-on to your collection if you have enjoyed one of our projects and want to make more of the same. Merino wool felts easily with a fine-gauge triangular-tipped needle such as a 40 gauge. We provide two within the box. Larger needles may leave holes in the finished surface.

This wool can be blended together using carding brushes or even by tearing and rubbing it together in your hands to make your own unique blends.

What's included in the price?

Carefully packaged inside the pretty display box, you will find 70g of natural wool fibres: lightning white, candyfloss pink, seal blue, mink, chocolate brown, black, Herdwick grey and cream English top.; TWO specialist 40-gauge triangular-tipped needles and a needle-felting basics guide to help you get started. So, if you’re a beginner and just want to have a play, you can begin making shapes and simple forms straight away.

What you will need

Lots of imagination and a soft surface to work on. A felting mat is a good investment or make your own from waste wool packing materials (much better for the planet!). Otherwise you can use a small cushion or a bath sponge.

This is a craft kit for adults - not a toy. Anyone under the age of 14 should be supervised by an adult.
