Description
Make a beautiful wool felt mug cosy to keep your winter drinks warm or to give as a last minute gift. We will be creating a winter scene (or pattern) out of felt, then having creative fun overlaying with various needle felted and embroidered details and for decorative effect. This will then be made into a cosy with a button fastening, to wrap snugly around a standard mug. If you have a special mug or beaker - please bring it along to the class to make sure it fits. Suitable for beginners or those wishing to develop needle felting and hand stitching skills. This is a fun class where you can escape the Christmas hustle and bustle with a little creative relaxation.
What's included in the price?
All materials are provided - this includes felt sheets, wool roving in a variety of colours, with a range of embroidery threads, beads, sequins and buttons for decoration. Christmas nibbles will also be provided.

Winter Tree Creative fosters creative learning, the development of self expression and wellbeing through the making of art and craft. Set up by tutor Fiona Mackie (who has over 20 years teaching experience) to share her lifetime passion for making beautiful things from pre-loved and used materials such as scrap fabrics and natural wool fibre.

Hot drinks can be purchased from the Community Centre.
Lyndhurst Community Centre is situated in a public carpark (fee paying) and there is a limited amount of free parking at the back of the venue which can be reached via the public carpark.
