Description

The perfect craft activity to do at home and a great introduction to the craft of mosaic. This kit makes a lovely and thought gift at any time of the year. If you cannot get to a course then making a mosaic at home is the perfect alternative. I handpick a unique selection of tiles for each kit, the tiles are a mix or ceramic and glass.

What's included in the price?

This mosaic kits come individually boxed with easy to follow step by step instructions to help your child complete their mosaic. CREATIVE TIP: Draw around the template with a pencil using a blank piece of paper or the box, play around with design ideas for the perfect layout of the mosaic tiles. The kit comes with an organza bag that can be used to as a gift bag for the finished mosaic, if you are giving the mosaic as a gift for a loved one. Your child might also want to add a personalised note to the back of the mosaic or simply add their own name and a date. Please note that this kit contains small parts and adult supervsion will be required, your child may also require support with grouting.

What you will need

You don't need any additional items as everything is included but I might suggest that you wear a apron over your clothing when grouting and cover any surfaces with a protective cover. There are lots of videos on my social accounts that your child might find helpful and supportive to watch for a grouting demonstration.

I love to collaborate with others whilst teaching and sharing my passion for the craft of mosaic. I run courses from my home studio for children, young people adults and families. Through my project work I enable young people to get enriched creative opportunities that might not be otherwise available to them. I have worked with local communities, schools, charities and hospital wards creating large pieces of public art in collaboration with others. I studied at Central Saint Martins College London and qualified with a degree in textiles, I have studied stained glass and warm glass and having been practicing the craft of mosaics since 2013 setting up my business Honey Mosaics in 2018. I live in a Milton Keynes, I have two young sons and a very friendly dog!
