About the Course
Using simple techniques for striking results, this workshop gives you all the skills you need for tabletop linocut printmaking.
Step-by-step through the creative printing process, from composing your design to cutting and printing your block, using reduction, multi block or masking techniques for multicoloured or monochrome prints.
Whether you're making a limited edition print series, designing your own card or experimenting with repeat pattern work, this workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as experienced artists; max 10 people in each workshop.
Olivia Clifton-Bligh is an award winning sculptor and printmaker, specialising in woodcut and linocut techniques. Her studio is at Bull Mill Arts, an artist's community established by Lord Bath on the Longleat Estate, on the banks of the beautiful river Wylye surrounded by water meadows and woodland.

What's included in the price?
Tools and materials are provided (including linocutting gouges, linoleum, bench hook, roller, water-based printing ink, inking plate, printing baren, cartridge paper, tracing paper, carbon sheets, and drawing equipment).
If you have your own preferred lino tools or printing papers, do bring them with you.
Plentiful images are provided to use as inspiration or templates.
You are also very welcome to bring your own preparatory material.
Tea and biscuits are provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
Olivia is a lively, very positive tutor , it is fun packed day and everybody leaves the workshop upbeat and happy with what they have produced.
