Keum boo is an ancient Korean technique where by 24 ct gold is fused onto fine silver using heat and pressure. The name ‘Keum boo’ translates to ‘attached gold’, and the process creates a permanent, fused bond between the two metals. Jemma will teach you the art of Keum boo in the beautiful setting of Nantwen cottage nestled in the heart of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, just a stones throw from both the Preseli Hills and the rugged Pembrokeshire coast. You will learn in small groups of no more than 6, in a cosy, relaxed environment with plenty of tea and delicious home made cakes!!! Come along for this day long workshop, learn the ancient art of Keum boo, enjoy a delicious home cooked lunch, and head home with your very own Keum Boo Pendant and Earrings. What to expect... - Arrive 9:45am - welcome with tea/coffee/biscuits/cake. - First session 10am - 11am. - Break (tea/coffee/biscuits/cake) 11am - 11:15am. - Second session 11:15am - 12:30pm. - Delicious homemade lunch 12:30pm - 1:15pm. - Third session 1:15pm - 2:30pm. - Goodbye (tea/coffee/biscuits/cake) 2:30pm - 2:45pm. What will I take home with me…. - 1 x fine silver and 24ct gold Keum Boo pendant on a sterling silver chain. - 1 x pair of fine silver and 24ct gold keum boo drop earrings on sterling silver ear hooks or hoops. No previous jewellery or metal working experience needed.

All materials (silver & gold), lunch and refreshments are included in the cost of £170 per person Location… Jemma’s Keum boo courses are held at the beautiful Nantwen cottage, just 5 minutes drive from the beautiful coastal village of Newport Pembrokeshire. The exact address will be provided on booking, but plenty of beautiful accommodation is available just a short drive away.
