This fantastic kit is the perfect way to develop your silver clay skills from beginner to intermediate in the comfort of your own home and at completely your own pace. Perfect for anyone that has already completed a beginners course and wants to produce more complex pieces. Detailed clear demo videos show you the processes step by step so you can pause, skip or re-watch to your hearts content. Explore intermediate techniques including stone setting, filigree, ring making, patina, paste and syringe work. If there are other specific techniques that you would like to develop please message your request. I can be available via email and WhatsApp to answer questions if needed (by arrangement). This series of tutorials is great value as the equivalent in person course covers just a chosen selection of these techniques. Please allow 7 - 10 days for delivery of your kit.

The materials and tools required for the intermediate skills are included in the kit as well as all the video tutorials that you will need.
What you will need
As this is the intermediate kit it is assumed that you already have the follow kit: - blow torch - heat mat - goggles - silicon moulding compound - rolling pin - cards or thicknessers - wet and dry papers - polishing papers - textures - cutters - findings - pliers - brush - drill bits / hole cutters - olive oil / non stick medium - method for drying clay - brass / stainless steel brush - (a kiln is required if you wish to do filigree work) You also need a device with a large enough screen to view the tutorials and the ability to play sound.

Where it all began … I first learnt to crochet as a child and spent hours and hours making, sewing, knitting and learning every new technique possible in art, craft and design. After a degree in Graphics and with 16 years experience teaching Textiles, Graphics, Art & Design and Design & Technology I strongly believe in developing my own practice to be the best tutor I can be. I am continually inspired by my students of all ages so it's definitely and 2 way street!

All your materials, endless tea and coffee and camping accommodation for 'One to One' bookings (this may also be available for other bookings subject to availability - please enquire).
I only take individual bookings so there will only be the people you choose to book for! This means I can make sure the workshop is exactly what individuals and groups want and everyone gets more out of it.
I normally start at 0930hrs but as I only take individual bookings I can be flexible with timings (subject to availability) to suit you.
No need to bring anything with you for your course or workshop unless you want to bring examples or inspiration ... but there are plenty of both here in the studio (surrounded by the beautiful Shropshire Hills) so you can just bring your lovely self!
There is a cute retro caravan that sleeps 1-2 people available onsite (The Old School Campsite) free of charge for 'one to one' bookings (subject to availability). There are also glamping bell tents in the summer and camping pitches available onsite. If camping isn't for you (!) there are lovely holiday cottages at 'Shelve Holidays' or a luxury cabin at 'Heather and Stone'.
