Description

Learn the traditional technique of Hooking Rugs also known as rag rugs. Design a rug, wall hanging or cushion. There will be a selection of templates to help design your pattern. Preparing your hessian foundation, looking at suitable material, yarn and t shirts. Lots of hints and tips to make rug making fun and easy. This is a perfect way to recycle redundant materials or use new hand dyed wool material. Cilla has been teaching rug making for over 35 years and holds an Adult Education Teaching Certificate. She has studied and taught rug making in Canada, America and Australia Suitable for all levels including beginners. Small groups of 4 or 5 students

Included in the price Tea Coffee and Biscuits. Please bring a packed Lunch Not included but available to use on the day and can be purchased Hooks, frames and hoops, Selection of hand dyed materials. Hessian can be purchased too. Students can bring along any rug making equipment they may have plus redundant clothing, Please message if you have any questions and for an information sheet
