I designed this beautiful Highland cow head as a commission. Then I was asked if someone could make it in a workshop setting. I said yes, and now I offer this course to anyone who has good use of their hands. It is a 2 day course for 1 person or a 1 day course for 2 people. My name is Laura Barnes and I have my own studio in an original mill warehouse in the moor town of Todmorden, West Yorkshire. I run all my craft courses from here and create my animal portrait commissions. With 26 years experience in commercial mosaic and other crafts, including working with the National Trust and Crafts Council, I now offer tutoring to small groups. I have a fantastic mix of materials and tools and a very spacious workshop where I run classes in mosaic, leaded stained glass and willow weaving all year round.
