Learn the fundamentals of modern calligraphy in our engaging and enjoyable evening workshop. Modern Calligraphy is dynamic and has energy so you can relax and have fun creating your own style. Do not be put off if you think you do not have nice handwriting or that you cannot draw as that really doesn't matter. We will teach you the tricks to turn your hand to modern calligraphy whatever your skillset. Our 2.5-hour dip pen workshop is specifically designed for beginners. We’ll build your confidence by gradually adding to your understanding of the techniques that make modern calligraphy so beautiful. By the end of the class, you’ll have progressed from making basic strokes to being able to connect letter forms to create your own words and phrases. With demonstrations and instructions, your tutor will be there to provide one-on-one tuition. You will use metallics and also try some colour blending and with these techniques in your repertoire, you will soon be creating bespoke greeting cards, invitations, and maybe even some beautiful artwork to dress your home or gift to a loved one.
