Description
This workshop is a great way to get involved in fused glass if you’re nervous about cutting glass. During the workshop, you will use glass frit to create a beautiful colourful fused glass dish. Jane will demonstrate how to use the tools and equipment safely. If you want to cut the shape of your dish yourself, Jane will demonstrate the techniques. However if you are a little nervous, Jane can help! Then using and layering smashed glass and frit, you will be able to apply a bold colourful design.
What's included in the price?
The courses are held at Glass Quarter Designs, Studio 14 on the site of the Red House Glass cone, near Stourbridge in the heart of the Glass Quarter. You can spend some time looking around the site, glass blowing demonstrations are held weekend afternoons. There is also a coffee shop on site but tea and coffee will be provided. Your pieces will need to fired over night, but will be available for collection a few days after the course. Or they can be posted for a small additional postage fee Health and Safety Warning: *Absolutely no open toed sandals allowed!*
