Fused Glass Masterclass - 2-day workshop (consecutive)
Description
This is a 2-day Fused Glass Masterclass You will explore various techniques for kiln fusing and slumping glass. This involves cutting and shaping the glass and assembling it to your chosen designs. You will learn about the different types of fusing and kiln schedules. We will delve deeper into various techniques such as coral bowls, layering, dilution and the crackle effect. You will be able to choose from a large selection of coloured glass, powders, frits, stringers, minerals, and glass paints. All glass will then require kiln firing for several hours in a specialised glass kiln at a temperature of around 800°C. Finished work can then be collected approximately one week later.

All glass, tools and materials, picture frame, and safety equipment will be provided. - Refreshments & lunch. - Delicious lunch plus assorted teas/coffees, and biscuits throughout the day. All you need to bring is your creativity (and glasses, if you need them for close work) :-)

Gigha has been working with glass for over 25 years and her fun, creative workshops are suitable for all abilities. You can learn how to make her fabulous and quirky stained glass pieces such as suncatchers, driftwood creations, tealight holders, mobiles, bunting, mosaics, terrariums and traditional lead panels in beautiful North Devon. Please note: The studio in on the 1st floor so will be unsuitable for those with any mobility issues.
