Description
In the morning there will be a short introduction to glass fusing and the wide range of techniques used. You will be introduced to the project and have time to think about your own creative ideas. You will be introduced to the materials used in glass fusing and the range of techniques used to create designs, including learning a little of the basics of glass cutting. With expert guidance, you will create your own unique design for each of your 4 panels for your glass lantern. Once you have created your designs, your expert tutor will guide you to which materials and techniques would be most suitable for each detail of your design, and you will begin to create your panels. After lunch, you will continue to work on each of your panels, following your designs. All the tools and safety equipment will be supplied alongside expert tuition. At the end of the day your will be given the metal lantern shell and a candle to complete your project.
