Description
In this friendly group workshop I will show you how to spin yarn using a traditional drop spindle. You'll use a hand made wooden top whorl drop spindle to spin wool fibre into a single ply yarn using an age old traditional spinning method that has been around for 1000's of years! Limited class size to ensure all pupils get enough attention from the tutor. You'll be able to take your hand spun yarn home with you. Drop spindles and kits are available to buy on the day if you wish, so that you can carry on your new craft at home!

We are a husband and wife team (Gai and Dave) and established FibreHut in 2013. We run a busy online shop, hold workshops and have regular meet ups at our premises in the pretty Cadbury Courtyard in Badsey Worcestershire, England. We are spinners, dyers, and weavers ourselves and have taught hundreds of newcomers and experienced crafters. We'll help you get started or improve your technique by taking the time to answer your questions & recommend suitable equipment.
