1 day cup turning on a pole lathe with Yoav Elkayam. An opportunity for both complete beginners and experienced turners to learn new skills and improve on existing ones. We'll be learning to use traditional hook tools on a foot powered lathe while making an end grain cup. We'll discuss sharpening, wood selection, form and many other relevant topics to this beautiful craft. *Vegetarian lunch included Why not push your pole lathe skills and join us the day before for a plate turning day? Bio - I've been a full time maker and tutor for the past ten years, as well as running the Woodland Makers workshop and co-running the Bowl Gathering. I have helped hundreds of people turn their first items on the pole lathe and always feel grateful for the opportunity to share space and skills with others. I'm passionate about pushing the boundaries of these simple tools and creating beautiful every day objects.
