This relaxed workshop introduces you to the technique of needle felting through the creation of a hand-felted soap. You will learn how to work with wool fibres to add colour, texture and pattern to a bar of soap, turning it into a finished piece that is both practical and decorative. During the session, you will be guided through layering and shaping wool around the soap, learning how needle felting allows fibres to bind securely while giving you full control over the final design. You can choose from a range of wool colours and develop a simple or more detailed finish depending on your preference. Each soap becomes a small, considered creation, suitable for everyday use, guest bathrooms or gifting. Felted soap is hygienic and long-lasting, with the wool helping the soap dry between uses while gently cleansing as it lathers. The workshop is suitable for beginners and those who enjoy slower, hands-on crafts, with no prior experience needed. Held in a small-group setting as part of our Coffee, Cake, ’n’ Craft series, the session offers a calm, supportive environment with plenty of guidance and time to work at a comfortable pace. All tools and materials are provided, allowing you to focus fully on learning the technique and enjoying the process.

You will receive clear, step-by-step guidance from an experienced tutor throughout the session. Refreshments are included, with time to enjoy a generous slice of cake and hot drinks while you work. Small group sizes ensure individual support and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. You will leave with a finished hand-felted soap and the confidence to continue exploring needle felting techniques at home. Please note Colours, materials and finishes may vary depending on availability, though every effort is made to offer a wide and inspiring selection. Workshop timings are approximate and may vary slightly depending on individual pace and creativity. A minimum of two bookings is required for each session; if this number is not met, bookings may be moved to the next available date.
