Cherry Blossom Abstract Watercolour Workshop with Kate Leach
Description
Kate Rebecca Leach of Essoldo Design began teaching her stunning abstract watercolour and collage classes with us in the Spring of 2025 and has completely sold out all of her classes ever since. If you haven’t had a chance to come on one of her classes yet, then we totally recommend that you do! In this seasonal Cherry Blossom Abstract Watercolour workshop you will learn how to create beautiful botanical abstracts inspired by the natural beauty of cherry blossom. Kate will teach you how to use organic watercolour shapes to form decorative abstract designs in a spring colour palette of your choice. You'll learn various watercolour techniques and decorative ideas to help you create your very own, unique piece that combines watercolour, inks details, and accents of metallics. You’re very welcome to use own inspiration or tap into Kate’s portfolio of floral/abstract designs and patterns. You’ll leave with a completely unique piece of watercolour artwork that captures the beauty and spirit of the season. Kate will provide all the materials that you need but you are very welcome to bring your own favourite materials or brushes if you wish. Kate Rebecca Leach is an artist and illustrator based just down the road in Hertfordshire. Her original artwork and high quality Giclée prints feature creative watercolour techniques and embellished metallic details. Kate founded her business, Essoldo Design, in August 2020 and has sold pieces to over 30 countries across the globe and has successfully licensed her work in the UK, Europe and the USA. Her First book, Creative Abstract Watercolor, was published in Spring 2024 as is now a worldwide bestseller. Kate is lucky enough to teach all over the world, from Morocco and the Maldives, to Italy, Greece and Portugal, as well as lovely venues across the UK. Much of her work is inspired by nature, from flowers and greenery to gemstones and jewels. She’s obsessed with embellishment (as her jewellery collection will pay testament), so her work often features a myriad of dots, decorations, and most importantly gold! At Where Inspiration Blooms, we’re big fans of delicious cake! In this class, you can enjoy a choice of traditional and herbal teas from Chesham-based tea connoisseurs, Two Spoons, as well as both caffeinated and decaf coffee. We have dairy and non-dairy milks to suit every preference, and our homemade cakes are always sourced from good local bakers. We also make sure those who need gluten-free options aren’t left out. If you have any allergies, please do let us know when you book so we can make sure everyone has a wonderful and worry-free treat. For our one-day classes, please bring a packed lunch. Please note that we will only be able to run this class/course if we have a minimum of 5 guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled in their fields, but being an artist isn't always a well paid profession so we hope you understand why it's important that we ensure that our teachers can afford to run each of their classes. Should the class not be able to go ahead we will contact you no less than 2 weeks before it is due to start and we will of course, offer you a full refund.
