This silk shading kit introduces you to the art of silk shading including split stitch, short and long stitch, stem stitch and satin stitch. This kit is aimed at someone who has knowledge of embroidery but would like to improve in the technique of Silk Shading. Silk shading is the art of creating shading with threads. This technique is also called needle painting (peinture a l’aiguille) Detailed instructions can be found in each silk shading kit and will show you how to work through the design step by step. The completed design reveals a flower with pink petals and carefully applied crystals add to the effect of droplets allowing the design to “shimmer” or “glisten” in the light.
