10 am – 4 pm We are excited to welcome back Sophie Victoria Anderson to the Fox Studios. Sophie is a contemporary enamel jeweller based in Manchester. In the workshop Sophie will share her skills to help you create a beautiful piece of enamelled jewellery. Enamelling is a great way to add some colour and patterns to your jewellery pieces. The class is suitable for beginners; during the class you will look at preparing copper pieces and using powdered glass so you can create your own unique designs. You will look at techniques such as blending or stencilling the glass powder to explore and create patterns. You will then learn about firing the piece in a kiln to melt and fuse the glass. If time allows Sophie may introduce some of her own techniques. This is a perfect workshop for people who love colour. All materials are included in the workshop. Tea and coffee and cakes are provided. Please bring a packed lunch with you, although, there are a variety of places locally where you can buy something.
