Painterly printmaking: alternative lithography on lino with Scarlett Rebecca. A three-day workshop with artist Scarlett Rebecca. Lino lithography is an accessible and low-toxic lithographic process that doesn’t require specialist equipment, so you can reproduce the process at home. Lithography is the perfect process for artists who want to explore a painterly approach to printmaking. Using lino as our print surface means we’re also able to include all the fantastic qualities of relief print. Day One: - Introduction and demonstration of preparing lino, and using drawing materials. - Creating imagery directly onto the lino. - Processing the lino. - Demonstration of monotype using lino. Day Two: - Carving into the lino to explore relief layers. - Printing multiple lithographic layers. - Exploring monotype. - Drawing and processing developed ideas. Day Three: - Printing day determined by individual participant’s developed ideas. - Group discussion & review.
What's included in the price?

Moor and Sea is set on Exmoor five minutes drive from the sea at Lynmouth, surrounded by stunning views. Bridget is an artist working in glass, print and paint. As well as running her own workshops in stained and fused glass she hosts courses run by other artists in oil painting, batik and Indian miniature painting. These inspirational workshops are held in the lovely airy art studio at Moor and Sea Holidays with beautiful views over Exmoor.
