Our Blacksmithing Taster Day offers a unique opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, and heat of the forge. Designed for complete beginners, this hands-on experience introduces you to the fundamentals of forging – from heating and hammering to shaping and finishing your own piece of metalwork. Using traditional techniques, you’ll learn to control the fire, handle the hammer, and appreciate the skill and rhythm of this centuries-old craft. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own creation and a genuine sense of pride and achievement. What's included in the price?

Everything you need is included – tools, safety equipment, and materials – along with plenty of tea and coffee. Just bring your own lunch! Please wear appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or damaged, preferably from natural fibres and closed top shoes/boots (no sandals or trainers please).
